Bux3 | paid to click

Bux3 is similar to Bux.to but even better. Once again you get paid $0.01 per click and $0.01 for each of your referrals' clicks. There are a lot of ads to click on every day, plus there are offers for which you can sign up to earn extra money. Payment is through AlertPay, with a minimum of $10. You'll receive a $0.05 bonus upon joining up. To start clicking, simply click on "Surf Ads" at the top of the page. To see the available offers, go to "Offers", and to see your stats, click on "Stats" or "My stats". Simple! The site is very easy to use and is attractive too. There are links at the bottom of the Bux3 screen to Payment Proofs and Testimonials.

Need Referrals?

If you're having trouble finding referrals for your PTC sites, try adding your referral links to some of the traffic exchange sites that I've listed in the category "Get traffic to your money-making blog". You might also like to mention them on your blogs or in forums.

A good site to join is myLot, where you can make friends and send links to your friends in personal messages if they are looking for PTC sites. But never SPAM people - never send messages or post on forums where your referral or affiliate links are not welcome. ALWAYS read the rules and guidelines first.

Another site you might like to try is Star Referrals. On star referrals, you can either buy stars or else earn stars for free by clicking on ads or signing up to other 'get paid to' sites under someone else. In return for signing up under someone else or viewing someone else's ad, you can then spend your stars and put up your own ads for other star referrals members to join up. So basically you'll be swapping each other's referral sites. If you need help with this, leave a comment here or send me an email.

Where to Start making money online

If you are feeling overwhelmed with information, and are at a loss as to where to start earning money online, here is a bit of general advice.

It's a good idea to start off with something simple and easy to do, and then once you get the hang of it, gradually explore some more options until you have found your favourite money-making niche online. There are lots of things to try and different kinds of people will enjoy different things.

So I would suggest to start by trying out some of the better PTC (paid to click) sites for a couple of weeks. Then move on to Get Paid To sites, where you can get paid to complete free offers online. At the same time or perhaps later, you can sign up to some free Survey panels and wait for survey offers to roll in to your email. You can complete only the surveys that you wish to, in your own time. If you like writing, you can try out some sites like mylot and look for other blogs online that tell you about posting articles to the internet for money (for example, http://paid2write.blogspot.com). Once you are fairly comfortable with money-making methods online, you might like to consider starting up a blog of your own about any topic under the sun that interests you. And you can use that to earn a bit of extra money too, by looking at my tips on this blog.

Remember, if you need help with anything, don't hesitate to leave a comment after any of the posts or send me an email! Good luck. :)

Creating a Blog | A Step-by-step Guide (Part 9)

How to place ads, banners and links on your blog:

TO ADD GOOGLE ADSENSE:
  1. From the Dashboard click on "layout".

  2. Select the "Add a page element" where you want to place the ad box.

  3. Select "ADD TO BLOG" under "AdSense".

  4. The first time that you add google adsense, you will be asked to confirm your account by entering the email address and phone number or post code that you used to sign up for your adsense account.

  5. After confirming, the ads will be displayed automatically on your blog. Blogger.com will choose the best option of colours, but you can change the size and colours if you wish.

  6. Click on "Save Changes" and you're done.

TO ADD BIDVERTISER:

  1. Log in to your Bidvertiser account by going to http://www.bidvertiser.com/bdv/BidVertiser/bdv_login.dbm Remember you are a "Publisher".

  2. From the 'BidVertiser Centre', click on the button at the bottom of the page "Choose Template" and a pop-up will appear.

  3. Choose the best type that will fit where you want your ads to be placed. For example, if you want them in the side bar then choose either "Vertical Banner" or "Vertical Rectangle" by first clicking on "Rectangles". If you want them displayed at the top or bottom of your blog, choose "Full Banner" or "Leaderboard" from the banners section. Play around with these after you have put the code on your blog, to see what looks best.

  4. Once you have made your selection, you may "Customise colours" if you wish, and then click on "Update" at the bottom of the pop-up window.

  5. From the main page click "Get Ad Code" and then copy the HTML code that appears. (Press Ctrl + C for a short-cut to copy the text, or else press the right-mouse button and choose copy from the menu.)

  6. Back to your blogger account, go to the "Layout" section and click on "Add a page element" in the place where you would like to display your BidVertiser ads. (You can always change this later by dragging the box from the layout.

  7. Select "ADD TO BLOG" under "HTML/Javascript".

  8. Paste the code in the box that appears under "Content". Don't enter a title because that title will be displayed on your blog.

  9. Click on "Save Changes". And that's it.

If you want to add other code such as banners or links to promote other sites or products you can follow the same steps shown above (steps 6-9). Add other elements to your blog such as lists, videos or polls, by choosing something else from the "add page element" box. Most of all, have fun blogging!

Creating a Blog | A Step-by-step Guide (Part 8)

How to edit the elements of your blog and add new elements (including banners, ads and links):

ACCESS: You can access the editing section either from the Dashboard, by clicking "Layout" next to your blog's name, or from your blog itself, by clicking on "Customise" in the top-right hand corner and you should be automatically directed to the "Layout" tab.

WHAT YOU CAN DO: The page that you see allows you to move around, edit and add elements to your page. (You can also change the colours of your blog or pick a new template from the sub-tabs under layout.) Depending on your particular blog template, you can click on the "add a page element" link on the side bar of your blog, at the bottom, in the header or directly beneath your posts. You can always move around any elements you have already created, by clicking on it, holding down the mouse-button and dragging it to where you wish to position it. Whenever you change something on this page, always remember to hit the orange "Save" button before you look at your blog to save your changes.

ADDING A PAGE ELEMENT: Click on the link "Add a page element". A new window should appear called "Choose new element", with several choices of elements to add.
Here is a brief explanation of each of them:

  • Slideshow - allows you to display a slideshow of your photos that are saved somewhere on the internet like Picasa or Flickr.
  • Poll - lets you create a poll for visitors to answer.
  • List - allows you to display a list of anything at all. You have the option to include a link with the items on the list but it is not required. Links will open in a new window by default.
  • Linked list - also creates a list but this time every item must have a URL link and links open in the same window as the blog when clicked on.
  • Picture - you can add a picture to your blog from the computer or internet. It will be displayed on every page of your blog unlike pictures added in a post which are only shown with that post.
  • AdSense - this is the easy button from which you can automatically add google adsense ads to your blog.
  • Text - lets you add some text to your blog that gets displayed on every page of your blog (as people navigate around your site).
  • HTML/Javascript - this is where you can add HTML code to display buttons, Bidvertiser ads, and banners on your blog.
  • Feed - to show RSS (Real Simple Syndication) feeds on your blog, such as news releases, videos, and more. You just need to place the feed URL address and it will automatically be displayed on your blog.
  • Labels - shows the labels with which you have tagged any your posts. (You can add labels to posts as you are creating them by typing in the label in the box at the bottom of the post editor next to "Labels for this post:")
  • Newsreel - to display google news headlines.
  • Video Bar - allows you to post videos from the internet onto your blog.
  • Logo - add a Blogger.com logo.
  • Profile - show your personal profile.
  • Blog Archive - to display your posts' archives (if they are not already there).
  • Page Header - display the page header (if not already there).

To edit any elements already on your blog, just press the "edit" link in the corner of that element.

Creating a Blog | A Step-by-step Guide (Part 7)

Start making money with your blog by placing contextual ad boxes on your page.

This is an easy way to earn money with your blog. All you do is put some HTML code on your blog which displays a box with links to advertisements. When visitors just CLICK (no purchase needed) on the ads you get paid for that click. The code tracks each time someone clicks on an ad link, and clicks can generate anywhere from .03 cents up to $10 per click. If your blog is getting an average of 1000 visitors per day, and only 10% of the people click on the ad content links, you can make between $50 - $100 per day just with those links. There are blogs on the internet that get over 50,000 clicks per day. Imagine how much they can make just with having these ads displayed! You'll get paid directly once a month by check, PayPal, or direct deposit.

There are two major companies to join. Below I will explain how to sign up with each of them.

GOOGLE ADSENSE:
  1. Click this button to go to the sign-up page:
  2. Next click on "Sign up now".
  3. Next to "Website URL", enter your blog URL, and then select the language.
  4. Check the 2 boxes agreeing to their terms.
  5. Choose an "individual" account.
  6. Select your country and fill in your personal details.
  7. Check all the boxes to agree to all their policies (you do not need to let them send you periodic newsletters), and click "Submit information."

I will explain how to add the code to your blog in a later part of this guide. (Ignore their emails about adding the code as there is a simpler way with Blogger.)

BIDVERTISER:

  1. Click on the button below to go to the sign-up page.

  2. Click on the "Join now - It's FREE" button.
  3. Fill in all your details and choose your payment preference, as specified.
  4. Click on "Get Activation Code" then go to your email and find the code to copy and paste into the box shown.
  5. Check the boxes to agree to their policies and click "Continue".
  6. On the next page, enter your blog's title, URL, and select the language. Ignore the bit about 3rd party ad server.
  7. Select a category for your blog, so that you will receive relevant Bidvertiser ads on your page.
  8. Finally, click "Finish."

I'll go through how to add the code to your blog later.

Submit your blog to internet directories for back-links

Submit your blog to free internet directories to create links back to your blog. One of the things search engines look for is how many links your site has, so by adding your site to these listings, you're increasing your chances of being ranked more highly with the major search engines. All this will help you get more traffic to your blog.

Here is a list of a bunch of free directories to which you can add your blog. You will need to choose the category to which your blog belongs and then fill in your site's details, including title, URL, description, as well as your name and email. If the link below doesn't take you directly to a submitting form, then first choose the category and then click on the link on the page that says something to the effect of "Submit a new website" or "Suggest a site" or similar. Always choose the "free" option and ignore the option of "reciprocal link" which requires you to link back to the directory from your blog.
Most of the directories will delete your site after about 2-3 months, so I would suggest to slowly make your way through this long list and then start again from the top.

Creating a Blog | A Step-by-step Guide (Part 6)

Ping your blog once a month:

Ping your blog to get it published on blogging directories on the internet. Search engines will often check directories like these for your site listing and to see what content updates you have made. You should ping your blog once a month in order to let the directories know of your updates.
  1. Go to the Ping-O-Matic website: http://pingomatic.com/
  2. Under "Blog name" enter the title of your blog.
  3. Enter your blog’s URL under “Blog Home Page”.
  4. Enter your RSS URL, which is your blog URL followed by “/feeds/posts/full” (as before).
  5. Next to “Services to Ping” click “Check Common” to check all services, and then click the button “Send Pings”.

And that’s it! Remember to go back to the ping-o-matic site and repeat this about once a month.

Creating a Blog | A Step-by-step Guide (Part 5)

Another way to get internet exposure for your new blog is by using RSS feeds.

  1. Submit your blog to RSS FeedBurner by going to this page: http://www.feedburner.com/
  2. In the box in the centre of the page, enter your blog URL followed by "/feeds/posts/full" so that the complete URL should look like: http://blogname.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/full. Then click next.
  3. Fill out your information on the next screen for a new account and click "Next".
  4. Follow the pages by clicking "Next" or "Skip directly to feed management".

Next: pinging your blog to blog directories.

Creating a Blog | A Step-by-step Guide (Part 4)

Post your blog to search engines in order to get indexed in the search engine directories:

The following steps will show you how to post your blog to the Internet through search engines. This will create a free traffic of readers to your blog. Once you get indexed by the search engines, your blog will continue to move up in the page rankings as long as you continue to keep adding posts and content to your blog a couple times a week. And the more traffic you receive, the more money you will make. Search engines rank web pages based on several factors, including having regular fresh content, links to the page from other sites, and the number of hits the site receives from visitors. Follow each step carefully.

  1. To submit to smaller search engines go to this page: http://www.hostned.com/resources_site_submit.htm
  2. Enter your "website URL", which looks something like http://blogname.blogspot.com, and enter your email address.
  3. Untick Google, but leave everything else ticked and then click the button "Submit your Site."
  4. Wait while your site is evaluated and posted to the search engines.
  5. When the screen completes loading, go to your email and confirm your submission. You can ignore any requests for upgrades.

  6. To submit to Google the best way is to go to the Google Webmaster tool by clicking this link.
  7. Log in on the right-hand side using your Blogger.com account details.
  8. Next enter your blog's URL address in the box that says "Click here to add a site", and then click "Add Site".
  9. Where you see "Next Step", click on the link "Verify your site."
  10. From the drop-down menu "Choose verification method", select "Add a meta tag".
  11. Leaving this page open, go to your blogger.com account (the dashboard) and click on "layout".
  12. Click on "Edit HTML".
  13. Now copy the google verification meta tag from the other page, and paste it directly below your previously-entered meta tags (i.e., above <b:skin>/* ).
  14. Click "Save Template".
  15. Finally, go back to the google verifying page and hit the "Verify" button.

  16. Submit your blog to Google's "Beta Blog Search" by following this link here.
  17. Simply add your blog's URL address (eg. http://blogname.blogspot.com) and click "Submit blog"!

  18. To submit to Yahoo, you will first need a Yahoo account if you don't already have one. You can get a free account HERE.
  19. Next go to this page to submit to Yahoo's search engine.
  20. After logging in, enter your blog's URL under the heading "Submit a Website or Webpage" and hit the button "Submit URL". And you're done with Yahoo. :)

  21. And lastly, submit to MSN Live! Search by going to this page.
  22. Type in the security characters in the box shown.
  23. Enter your blog's URL in the box below the words "Type the URL of your homepage" and hit the "Submit URL" button.

You have now submitted your blog to several search engines. Your blog will get picked up by several hundred smaller search engines that feed off these major search engines, which in return will get you more exposure - which means more traffic to your blog. Don't forget to add content every few days.

Creating a Blog | A Step-by-step Guide (Part 3)

Meta Tag Codes for Search Engine Recognition:

Meta Tag codes are an important part of your blog. The Meta tag is the way the search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and MSN will know how to read your blog, and index it to the proper spot on their search engines. They are very easy to place on your blog, as I will show below.

  1. Copy the following green (and pink) text into a Notepad or Word document and edit it as I will describe below.
    Make sure to leave in the quotation marks.
    (You'll only need to edit the pink text between the quotation marks; i.e., the description and keywords for your blog.)

  2. Between the quotation marks after ‘description –
    insert a brief description of your blog’s subject; try to limit this to 20 words max.

  3. Between the quotation marks after ‘keywords’ –
    add keywords that best fit your blog’s subject. About 4 to 6 keywords should be enough. You can always change these at a later date.
    For the keywords, use dashes between words and use commas to separate each keyword. For example, if your keywords are: ‘favourite animals’, ‘my pets’, ‘dogs’, ‘puppies’, and ‘animal lover’, then it should look like this in the meta tag:
    "favourite-animals,my-pets,dogs,puppies,animal-lover"

  4. Once you have finished editing the Meta Tag you need to insert it into your blog.
    From your dashboard, click on “layout”. (Alternately you can click on “Customise" in the top right-hand corner from your blog.)

  5. Next click on the sub-menu tab “Edit HTML”.

  6. Under the heading “Edit Template” you should now see a page of your HTML code. Copy your Meta Tag and paste it between the line "
<data:blog.pageTitle/>
"
    and the next immediate line "<b:skin>/*".

  7. After you have inserted your meta tag here, click on “Save Template”. You have now added your Meta Tag to your blog.

  1. Go to Blogger.com, log in and you will be directed to your dashboard.
  2. Click on “New Post”.
  3. Choose a title for your blog, and start typing. Make sure to stick to one general subject throughout your blog, otherwise search engines will not index you as strongly.
  4. After highlighting your selected text, the editing buttons at the top allow you to do the following, in order from left to right:
  • change the font style;
  • change the font size;
  • make text bold;
  • make text italic;
  • change the font colour;
  • create a link to your text (or photo);

  • create a bulleted list;
  • create a block quote;
  • check the spelling;
  • add a picture from your computer;
  • add a video from your computer;
  • erase formatting.

When you are done posting, click on “publish post” or else “save as draft” to publish it later.

To change a post, go to “Posts” from the Dashboard and click on Edit next to the post you wish to edit. (Or go to "Customise" in the top-right-hand corner from your blog, then click on "Posting" tab, then "Edit Posts".)
